The clutch assembly uses an OE style 250mm pressure plate, with an OE style disc, pilot bushing, and an alignment tool, with the option to upgrade to a six-puck disc that holds more power generated by the rotation of the flywheel. The Importance of Flywheels To fully appreciate the benefit of a clutch and flywheel upgrade kit, it helps to understand the enhancement a top-notch flywheel delivers. Rotating flywheels have an inertia that resists changes in rotational speed. A flywheel is proportional to the square of its rotational speed.a The application of torque to a flywheel increases its rotation and stored energy. The OE style clutch assembly/disc has been tested to hold 300ft/lbs torque, and the six puck is rated to hold 330ft/lbs torque. In either case, the flywheel weighs 18 lbs. and the entire clutch and flywheel assembly weighs in at 35 lbs.
