Description: Part Description: Up for auction is a WWI barrel for Colt 1911 USGI examples. The piece is in vintage good used shape. The bore has pronounced rifling and light pitting, see photo. This one has the vertical RP marking. Serial would indicate 1915 production and for a Springfield 1911 WW1 type. I have been told the R marking means it was a replacement barrel during the war.
