Description: The Colorado National Guard Meritorious Conduct Medal honors Colorado National Guard members who perform heroic acts or noteworthy feats of courage typically involving the risk of life to save others. Acts performed while under Federal service are not eligible for this award. The medal is bronze and in the shape of a cross; it features an eagle atop a shield and a scroll reading "COLORADO NATIONAL GUARD" and "FOR VALOR." The reverse features a scroll on which to engrave the recipient’s name as well as an inscription reading "AWARDED TO [NAME] FOR MERITORIOUS CONDUCT." The ribbon features a broad red central section flanked by a thin vertical white stripe and thicker dark blue stripe on either side proceeding outward.
