Description: A vintage Cobra 139 XLR with a Cobra Dynamike Plus CA-61 microphone both in excellent cosmetic condition with a few operational issues. This radio was part of a massive lifetime estate collection of a CB and HAM operator consisting of over 40 base station radios and dozens of boxes of related equipment. This radio has been fully tested with a properly tuned CB antenna and confirmed to receive signals clearly. All adjustments appear to work but a few are more sensitive than they should be and do not work when set at certain levels. The main issue with this system which is why it is listed for parts is due to the transmitter not working properly. I have tried multiple mics with this base station and when keyed up it appears to behave normally, but when listening on the receiving radio all that is heard is a period of reduced noise. It transmits a dead key when there should be modulation and audio. I do not have the knowledge or equipment to pinpoint the cause of this issue. This radio appears to have been modified because there are switches on the underside of the radio that appear to not be from the factory, the areas that they are wired to are detailed in the photos. I do not have the knowledge to identify what the purpose of this modification is, but I would guess that they are for extra channels. Due to the age of this equipment and parts swappers I am selling this as a collectible only even though it is partially working. I will not accept returns on this equipment or any radios over 30 years old. This item will be sent in a well padded box and insured to protect against any potential damage during shipping.
