Classic Schwinn RACER vintage 2 speed kick Original paint black barn find

Description: Really nice original classic Schwinn Racer with the famous Bendix 2 speed kick back rear hub. 26 x 1 3/8" tires on S6 rims. Seat tube is 23" and head tube is 6 3/4". Serial #C440158. IIRC this makes it a Chicago 1964 production but please verify this for yourself as I can not guarantee my memory is accurate. Bought this bike 35 + years ago, rode for a few years (really cool, lightweight and fast) and decided I wanted to give it a basic maintenance overhaul (re-grease all bearings and hubs, tires, tubes, front brake cable, the usual). Got it apart and before I could go further had a major heart attack and it has been stored hanging in the barn since. The front axle spindle assy and chain is missing (easy to find and cheap) otherwise it is pretty much all there, original black paint etc. There is some light surface rust which looks like a pretty easy clean and polish operation. Wheels are very nice, again easy clean up. Original Schwinn grips and pedals are outstanding! Please examine the pictures carefully as I really want this to go to someone that appreciates what it is and what it can easily be. Don't really want to ship (should be disassembled to prevent damage, rear fender, handlebars, pedals, seat) so I have listed this as local pickup only.
