Description: Classic Old West Styles Holster Up for sale is a Classic Old West Styles Maker Holster in El Paso, Texas. Holster is for a Ruger Mk I, II, III or IV with a mounted scope. I have seen many of these holster's but this is the first one I have come across that is made for the scope attached. Has embossed Ruger logo and magazine pouch.Came from a large estate auction, believe it was purchased new and never used. It was made to fit any of the Mark 1, Mark 2, Mark 3 or Mark IV pistols with a 6" inch barrel or less. This holster has since been discontinued and was a limited-production item sold as a Ruger factory accessory. As such, it should no doubt be as good of a long-term investment as it is an actual holster. This beauty is light tan in color with contrasting off-white stitching, and features a single magazine pouch on the front face of the holster, a snap button retention strap for the pistol, a snap button retention strap for the extra magazine pouch, an open toe for easy cleaning and drainage, a wide belt loop to fit any belt 2" inches wide or less, and the factory Ruger logo stamped on the face of the holster and on the top of the black gun retention strap button. The rear of the holster stamped with the model "MK" and the maker's logo for the "Classic Old West Styles" leather company in El Paso, Texas that made it for Ruger. The construction of the holster uses 3 layers of leather at the leading edge to accommodate one of the wider bull barrel variations or a heavy tapered barrel in addition to the standard tapered barrel. The center piece of leather making up the leading or front edge of the holster is cut thinner to accommodate the standard front sight as well as the taller and larger target style front sight blade. This is a very nicely made holster with high quality materials. The workmanship is very good overall, and the design is very handsome. This holster would be a great addition to any Ruger collection or a great holster to use when in the woods or on the farm. Comes as shown.
