Description: Gently used (never for anything strenuous like a tactical) reproduction 1860s style “sent from home” civilian shirt. Made from the highest quality materials in an authentic manner by myself, Thos. Frost Fine Shirting (on FB). Shirt is “cut on the square” and fits a size large, from a 40-44. This shirt has an internally reenforced front placket, similar to the Campbell shirt from the Museum of the Confederacy. Features a band collar. All of the tailoring details are present: all seams are neatly pressed and hand felled with extremely small, neat stitches. The front placket slit is reenforced at the bottom with a buttonhole stitch. All splits have whipped reenforcement patch. This shirt is half-lined in the yoke with white sheeting. Buttonholes are neatly hand rendered. All thread used is 100% cotton from Tart. Fabric is of the highest quality cotton weave from Family Heirloom Weavers, originally purchased in Gettysburg at Needle and Thread. Buttons are original china Prosser patent. Most importantly: the cotton fabric was washed and preshrunk before assembly to ensure no shrinkage. Features my period-inspired makers stamp on the front tail.
