April 2000 in Geislingen an der Steige) was a German high school teacher, painter, educator and senior director of studies. From 1945 to 1972, he headed the Gymnasium in Geislingen an der Steige. As early as 1930, Kley joined the Ulm Artists Guild, where he was actively involved in the art scene. During the time of National Socialism, however, he was classified as a "degenerate" artist. In addition to his work as a teacher and director, Kley always pursued his passion for painting and art and worked as an artist in the Geislingen region.
