Description: What a find!! These are extremely rare. This is a map from the Scranton PA and Dunmore Pa Atlas published 1898. This map is of Wards 1 & 3. They include the area from Spring Street to Bedford Street and Florida Ave to Lackawanna River and the Delaware & Hudson Canal Railroad Line. All businesses and homes in this area are labeled. Also labeled are sewer lines, water lines ect. Some of the better known businesses listed are: The Marvin Shaft of the Delaware * Hundson Canal Co, Delaware Hudson Canal Railroad, New York Ohio Rialroad, Gregory Silk Mill, House of Good Shepard, and more. Lots of estates and residences. The map was published in 1898 and measures 32 inches by 22-1/2 inches. The map is in very good condition. Has a cheesecloth backing and looks fantastic. Shows alittle wear Not too noticable. Is two pages attached in the center. Would look great in a frame. Makes an excellent addition to any collection. Extremely rare!!
