These plates are all slightly different, yet similar in design/pattern. Each plate has the J. Pouyat Limoges and J.P.L. France logos on back. Additionally each style is marked as well.The 'J.P.'-over-'L' is the artist designation. This one is the signature Jean Pouyat used on his undecorated white porcelain. The initials 'J.P.' over an 'L.' with the word 'France' underneath tells that this plate originated in Limoges, a city in central France (that's what the "L" stands for).Each has a gold gilt trim with a green floral and inner gold pattern.
