CHARLIE’S ANGELS rare script 1980 - JACLYN SMITH

Description: A unique collectible for fans of the 70’s classic CHARLIE’S ANGELS, starring JACLYN SMITH and CHERYL LADD. In the summer of 1980, the show was beginning production on its fifth season, which would be introducing audiences to new angel Tanya Roberts. An actor’s strike hit soon after production began, delaying the season. Additionally, as the series had already peaked, ABC started moving it around to different time slots in an attempt to boost ratings. Ultimately, the series was canceled after completing only 16 episodes of a strike shortened 20 episode season. The sudden cancellation left a few previously written scripts unfilmed. Here is a reproduction of one of them, RIDE ‘EM ANGELS, a first draft written in July of 1980 that was likely positioned to be one of the remaining episodes. A fun read to enjoy what might have been and imagine the episode. The writer contributed 3 fun episodes in prior seasons.
