No place, no date. Headed: "Military History of Augustus Pohlers'/services in the Medical Department of the/U.S. Army". In full: "Appointed Hospital Steward U.S. Army November 10th 1862. On duty at Surgeon General's Office from date of appointment to November 10th 1865. Discharged November 10th 1865 by reason of expiration of term of service. Official." Dr. Crane was one of nine men present at the autopsy of President Lincoln performed at the White House. Charles H. Crane served as Surgeon General of the United States from July 3, 1882 until his death on October 10, 1883. File holes at upper margin. Fine condition.
