CHANTRELL #352 FRENCH DOOR MORTISE LOCK w/KEY 1 1/2" BS, 5 3/8" FACE (41027)Vintage, circa 1920-30, REMANUFACTURED: Made by Chantrell Tool Co., model #352 used primarily for French doors and French windows. Heavy brass faceplate! Very hard to find mortise lock with a 1 1/2" backset. FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a brass face with a length of 5 3/8" and a width of 1" and thickness of 1/8". MORTISE BOX: The mortise box itself is 2 3/8" deep from the front edge of the brass faceplate and the box 3 3/4" high. Box is 5/8" thick. The lock is reversible.BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 1 1/2".DROP: The drop (the distance from the the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 2 1/4". KNOB POST: The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" knob post. KEY: Newly filed brass key comes with the lock.
