Description: Note: Listed as Local Pick Up, but following pick up options are available. We travel to the South Carolina coast around Charleston pretty much every month. The buyer could also select to pick up this telescope at several locations in the vicinity of our route we use traveling to the beach. This would include areas around Columbia, South Carolina, Orangeburg, South Carolina or in the low country around Charleston, South Carolina. The timeframe for this exchange would be determined by when we travel to the coast though, so there could be a delay as to when the telescope would be delivered. I purchased this telescope brand new in March of 2023. This being my first high in, quality telescope, I failed to take into consideration the weight and bulk of this telescope and how it would affect how often I would actually use it. In reality, when you consider that it is comprised of two pieces, it is not all that heavy, but rather bulky. Due to this fact, I found that it was a deterrent for me to take it out on my deck for observation on a regular basis. I attribute a lot of this to my age. At 75 years old it just seemed that sometimes it wasn’t worth the effort to set it up. This scope is virtually brand new and the StarSense app really makes finding objects in the sky very simple, which was a very important feature for a novice like myself. I will be definitely purchasing another, more portable Celestron telescope, but I will probably be giving up some of the features of this telescope, such as the 10” aperture. I do still have all of the original shipping cartons, but due to the weight and bulk associated with these, I would prefer the Local Pickup option. Please visit Celestron’s website for all the details and specifications of this telescope. Also, there are quite a few YouTube videos reviewing this and similar StarSense based telescopes.
