Description: This is a beautiful January 22nd, 1911 program (playbill) and separate advertising booklet from the two-night, Post-Broadway engagement of the CHARLES DICKSON, OTTO A. HAUERBACH and KARL HOSCHNA musical comedy "BRIGHT EYES" at the Grand Opera House in Davenport, Iowa. (The Original Broadway production opened February 28th, 1910 at the New York Theatre in New York City and ran for 48 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical starred CECIL LEAN and FLORENCE HOLBROOK and featured HERBERT SALINGER, STELLA THOMAS, FLORENCE COURTNEY, FRANK BROWNLEE, PERCY LYNDAL, VERA FINLAY, ARTHUR CONRAD and VICTOR ..... DETAILS: The twenty page program measures 4" X 9" inches and includes beautiful cover graphics, full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios. The eight page advertising booklet (flyer) measures 4" X 7" inches and includes beautiful cover graphics, production credits, promotional text and eight production photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing to the lower right corner, this rare program is in excellent condition. (Please Note!) The advertising booklet has scrapbook paper attached to the back cover, the center pages are detached from the rusted staples and there is staining and soiling to the inside pages. Despite these flaws, this rare set will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. These items will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
