Description: CDV of Major General Jessie L. Reno (1823-1862). General Reno served as an officer in the Mexican American War and as a Union Major General in the Civil War. He was killed at South Mountain, Maryland on Sept. 14, 1862 while gallantly leading an assault. CDV in good overall condition, but has minor creases and corner wear. Also, back shows yellow paper residue and some thin areas (mostly back top left corner) from being roughly torn from an album page. Penciled writing on the back about Gen. Reno. A scarce CDV.
