Description: Cast Metal African Sculpture Man / Warrior with a Spear (bronze ??) -- lost wax technique All of the art work and collectibles being sold by Adams-Byrd Fine Art & Antiques have been collected and selected one at a time by the proprietor, an art historian with many years of training and experience in university art history departments, museums, galleries, and historic sites both in the U.S. and abroad. The business has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for many years. This cast metal African sculpture of a man with a spear is under 6 1/2" tall. The base is approximately 2" x 2 1/4". The sculpture (?? bronze ??) has been cast by the "lost wax" technique. We are not certain of the age, and we are not sure of how much of the light and the dark "residue" on the surface is from when it was made (and how much of it has developed over the years).
