Description: This is a vintage Case 06263 SSP “Eisenhower Penknife” pattern pocket knife.This pattern got the nickname “Eisenhower” because the Case 63 pattern was one of the favorite pocketknives of President Dwight Eisenhower. Ike bought them in quantity for his personal use and to give as gifts to White House visitors.This knife is scarce as it has the mirror polished blades, with the TESTED XX RAZOR EDGE etch on the large blade. The vast majority of these were made with glazed finish blades.The tang stamp is CASE XX STAINLESS USA 1965-1969.The knife is 3 1/8” closed with nickel silver liners and pinned CASE oval shield.Mirror polished stainless steel blades.The blades each have strong snap, no wobble. Chestnut bovine bone handles with great color.The handles have no cracks or damage.A mint knife - never sharpened, carried, or cleaned, each blade has the original factory finish and factory edge. There is no original box, as when these knives were made, Case boxed knives in bulk, not individually.The knife will be shipped wrapped in a new Case anti-tarnish wrapper and in a recent Case box.The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone.
