Description: ITEM DESCRIPTIONCARLSBERG beer 1950s Denmark store display sign poster TUXEDO MAN monocle #1$225.00from a small collection of 7 different signs for this beer, this thick paper sign is unusually shaped with great style and color in the original hipster era look of the 1950s. I was told by the person I bought these from that the artist is Arvid Muller.size is approximately 2 1/2' wide x 2' tall but there is a yardstick in the photo for scale.NOTE--because I have never seen any other examples of this sign, I can only say I believe it to be complete but am not 100% sure since I have no reference to compare it to. The shape is unusual and at times asymmetrical but it is likely the sign is complete.TEXT SECTION-- this sign will come with #1 (not all) of the text sections shown in the last 2 pics. They are separate pieces and I am going to contact a friend in Denmark to see if they can decode which one goes with which sign.#1 text says "A beer without comparison (or equal)"CONDITION---will have some remnants of clear tape from being previously displayed otherwise colors are rich and unfaded, may also have archival tape reinforcement on the reverse to weak areas OFFERS---I list 20,000+ items a month on EBAY.
