Acquired from the original owner by the current owner. Carlos Trillo spent a significant part of his childhood and adolescence in New York, where he completed his high school studies. In 1961, he returned to Havana and professionally devoted himself to the world of visual arts, particularly in the realm of abstraction and material tendencies. His primary focus was on exploring material painting and the use of various materials such as sand, glue, marble dust, deteriorated woods, acrylic pastes, plastic adhesives, among others. He also prominently employed asphaltite to create specific textures in his works. His painting is based on the incorporation of these textures, inspired by natural elements, and the application of colors such as ochres, blacks, and blues. Mostly, he carried out his creations on canvas, although to a lesser extent also on Masonite or cardboard. He participated in numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective. Carlos Trillo's works are present in prominent cultural institutions and are part of various public and private collections, both in Cuba and around the world. Su pintura se basa en la incorporación de estas texturas, inspiradas en elementos naturales, y en la aplicación de colores como los ocres, negros y azules. Mayoritariamente, sus creaciones las llevaba a cabo sobre tela, aunque en menor medida también sobre masonite o cartón. Participó en numerosas exposiciones tanto individuales como colectivas.Las obras de Carlos Trillo están presentes en destacadas instituciones culturales y forman parte de diversas colecciones públicas y privadas, tanto en Cuba como en otros lugares del mundo.
