Description: Cardboard Record Mailers (Pack of 20) I make these record mailer myself out of cardboard boxes. About a year ago I started selling records on eBay and so I needed a good way to mail my records that would keep them protected during shipping. The problem I was having was I couldn’t find anything made for shipping records for less than about $2.50 per mailer by the time I got them delivered to my house and for the least expensive options the material was pretty thin and flimsy and I didn’t think they provided as much protection as I would have liked. So I started making these cardboard mailers myself and they have been working really well for me. I am able to make them relatively cheaply so I figured I would try listing them on here for sale to see if I can help anyone else in a similar situation. The mailers can fit up to 3 single 12” vinyl albums no problem. The first picture shows one of the mailers with an album so you can get an idea of the size and how it would fit into the mailer. When I ship my records using these I usually just wrap the albums in either newspaper or bubble wrap and I haven’t had any problems with things getting damaged in the mail. Hopefully these can help you cut down on your shipping costs too. If you look at pictures 2 & 3 you can see where there is perforation for a handle as I stated before that these are cut from cardboard boxes that were originally intended to be moving boxes. There is another piece of cardboard that always folds over where the handle slot is though, so it will be covered and it’s never been a problem. These tabs that fold over add to the structural integrity of the mailers and make them less likely to fold/bend during shipping. The last picture shows a mailer all taped up and ready to mail with measurements so you can get an idea approximately how big they are when they ship. Also, they usually weigh less than 1LB when shipping a single vinyl LP. Let me know if you have any questions.
