Description: I am a rock n roller, not a fan of hip hop, but I still found this book to be very enjoyable. I got it with a similar but more punk oriented book Please Kill Me by Legs McNeill, and I highly recommend that too. This covers some of the same ground: Malaise Era NYC but more from the POC viewpoint. Joe Strummer would have loved this book. Radio Clash should be its soundtrack. I liked reading about the history of tagging and some of the more revolutionary stuff. Like I said, I'm not a big hip hop fan.
