Calibre De Cartier; Ref: W7100037; A Timeless Classic with Exhibition Caseback!

This is a fantastic Cartier fine timpiece from the house of Cartier in a modern, slightly large and striking 42mm size. There are a lot of Cartier de Calibre references and timepieces on the market --- as it is a classic --- but this one is in great condition, comes with a wonderful and supple black leather strap and is in the classic opaline silver/whiteish dial. My reputation as a Seller is another factor when making a consideration and my eBay rating speaks for itself. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch are… 1. This watch is wears true-to-form for a 42mm watch. I can recommend this watch for any male with an average wrist size or even a large wrist.2. The case construction and the dial in particular are very high-end and even approach haute-horology as one can see from the beveling, anglage and finishing. The exhibition caseback allows a view into the really nice and nicely finished movement. 3. This watch tells time in a classic four hand, "petite seconde" configuration that is high-contrast on a wonderful and crisp opaline dial. The suprisingly cool open date window and rail-road track minute register around the perimeter and you have a very stylish and functional timepiece. 5. Only 10mm (approximately) in thickness, this fine timepiece looks wonderful with casual or business attire as well. This one has a functional but also beautiful and thoughtful case presentation from all angles whereby the subtle design and finishing treatments (such as the smooth bezel, inner radial rehaut, Roman numerals, broad lumed hands, blue cabochon crown...) all combine to produce a great "one watch" for a refined gentleman. And this one absolutely still works with jeans and t-shirt or paired as I like to do it with a black leather jacket. 6. The blue cabochon crown has nice shoulders protecting it. While this one is nice to wind, the wearer's wrist movement also adds energy to the winding spring for timekeeping and one can see all of this magic happening through the exhibition caseback. Note the Cartier rotor and nice finishing of elements of the movement. 8. Let's not bury the lead --- the wonderful silver dial with the square "train track" minute register is simply a dial icon. This one has "world traveler" or "James Bond" or "a CEO" design ethos and vibe. 9. It will ship in a generic watch box as well because I care to make sure that the watch arrives safely and in great shape for the next lucky owner and their high-style adventures. This watch is frankly for somebody who either brings a very individual since of style and/or already has a few high-end timepieces and knows a thing or two about Cartier and wants a modern Cartier reference like the de Calibre. King Edwary VII refered to Cartier as "the Jeweller of Kings and King of Jewellers" so high praise reaches back over a century and a few generations ago. Quality but also decadence is how I like to think about Cartier.
