Description: LONG WAVE and SHORT WAVE UV Nice orange fluorescence under both long and short wave UV light on this cleaved Calcite specimen. Under long wave UV (image #1) you can see the small blue reaction of the Fluorite. Image 3 is under short wave. The crystal is cleaved into a typical Calcite rhombohedral form and is a white/clear/brown color. From Yuma, Arizona. 25 grams. 1-3/4" at its longest. NOTE! I used a long wave (365nm) UV convoy2 with a band pass filter for the long wave images, you will need one as well to see the UV reaction like in the pictures.The short wave images were shot under a 6 watt short wave lamp (254nm).
