Description: WebVinyl Presents! Cabaret Voltaire “The Crackdown” Original 1983 UK Import Limited Edition First Pressing 33-1/3 RPM 12” Post Punk / Alternative / Industrial / Electro Synth / Rock LP plus 12” EP w/ Hype Sticker & Picture Inner Sleeve! No Reserve! DESCRIPTION Cabaret Voltaire - “The Crackdown” Some Bizzare Records (UK) CV1 / CV DV1 (Stereo) from 1983. Hard to find Original Limited Edition UK Import First Pressing Electro Synth / Post Punk / Alternative / Industrial / Pop / Rock album plus Bonus Limited Edition 12” EP from Cabaret Voltaire featuring Steve Mallinder and Richard H. Kirk with help from Alan Fish and Dave Ball (Soft Cell). In the Original Cover with a Hype Sticker and NO Barcode, Cutouts or Promo Markings! Includes the Original Picture and Credits Inner Sleeve for the LP and the Original Sleeve for the EP. CONDITION The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some fairly slight shelf wear, edge creasing and corner softening/wear. There is an old price tag in the upper right, a small peel near the upper left and a couple little brown coffe(?) drip stains. Still very solid with no splits, other stains, writing, cutouts, tears, etc. and would rate VG. The LP Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking pretty lightly played. There are some light scuffs and faint hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something that can be felt with a fingernail. VG visually but plays mostly perfectly EX or better with maybe a couple spots of light groove noise which might be cured by a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The EP looks barely played, a couple scuffs but at least EX if not NM. The labels show a few faint spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint. The inner sleeve has some slight ring impression and a touch of wear on the edges. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
