Description: Original circa 1880 stereoview sepia photo of Miss Fielding. A very unusual stereoview in that the two ends of the mount have an ad for “Flinn & Breneman Lancaster, Pa. Housekeeping Goods, Coal Oil Lamps and Chandeliers”. The back has an original inked inscription “To Margie By her Grandma Groff June 11, 1880.” In our research we found one mention of the Flinn & Breneman company being in business from 1866-1926. However, we do not know if this framework of dates is correct. We are thinking that Miss Fielding was probably an actress. But, we do not know if we are correct in this assertion. In our research we did find a Miss Fielding that was an actress in the same era that this view was issued. However, we do not know if this is the same Miss Fielding that is shown on this stereoview. In any event, this is certainly an interesting & very scarce stereoview with this Lancaster, Pa. business advertisement. The sepia stereoview photo is on a buff colored rounded corner mount that is slightly curved. The mount measures 6 15/16 inches long by 3 15/32 inches from top to bottom. Condition: The card has some wear at the edges, some corner bumps, & some soiling. Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value.
