Description: C1900 SUPERB ANTIQUE CHINESE QING EXPORT REPOUSSE SILVER BUTTER DISH GLASS LINER Description:An antique Chinese export solid silver butter dish on stand of the highest quality, dating to the late 19th or early 20th Century, circa 1900.The oval butter dish, the lid with a cow finial, is repousse decorated and engraved with birds perched in cherry blossom branches. The bowl contains its original clear glass liner, and stands on an oval matching tray. Both tray and side of the dish have a vacant oval cartouche. The underside bears stamped Chinese marks for the maker and '85'.
