Description: c1880, ANTIQUE 19thC MIDDLE EASTERN QAJAR POLYCHROME PAINTED GLAZED POTTERY BOWL Description: An antique polychrome decorated pottery bowl, Middle Eastern, dating to the 19th Century, circa 1880.The inner surface of the pottery bowl is decorated with a detailed painted scene of a loving couple seated beneath a tree. The outer surface with a continuous foliate design on a cobalt-blue ground, separated by four arabesque panels with seated male and female figures, leading down to a glazed base and short unglazed foot.Provenance: From a notable private collection, with collector's label to the base.
