Description: DESCRIPTION - Pony Premo No. 3 Camera in 4x5 dry plate size – manufactured by Rochester Optical Company (ROS). Camera was first introduced in the 1901 ROC catalog. Based upon the finder and lens style, it appears this camera was manufactured after 1903. The camera was designed with reversible back (for horizontal and portrait images), Bausch & Lomb Auto shutter, front standard rise/fall, locking tilt back, side-bed finder, fluid level, Mahogany wood construction, and attractive maroon bellows. CONDITION – Camera makes a nice display, has a clean lens, and could be used for photography if the shutter speeds could be serviced to be accurate. NOTE – Front Folding Bed Is Tight – To open, take off the reversible back, push on the back of the lens mount while pushing the bed release button to get it to pop open. DO NOT PRY OPEN THE FRONT DOOR – you will scar the leather. Maybe you can figure out how to adjust.
