Description: This is a CTW Coffee Table, initially designed by Ray and Charles Eames for the Evans Molded Plywood Company in 1946. It was released as a part of the “Plywood Group” for the Eames Office, and the piece was distributed by Herman Miller. This is a very early example, dating to 1947. CTW is an acronym that stands for Coffee (C) Table (T) with a Wood (W) base. It features a circular five-layer plywood top which sits upon four legs made with bent plywood. This table measures 34.25 inches in diameter, and stands 15.75 inches high. There is some very slight wear apparent on the edges of the top, and there is some slight discoloration on the surface in some areas. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos. The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country.
