Description: Description: You are looking at one black and white 1940's Warner Brothers movie/scene/set still. This appears to be a picture of a picture with chalk writing on the bottom the outer portion of the border. There are three borders in this photo. The outermost white border, the middle black portion which has the words "Tavern on The Greens-Central Park" written in what appears to be chalk. Or, perhaps you know what it is? The photo is in good + condition. Creasing, upper left, to outermost (white) border that extends into the middle (black) border. Please refer to the following Grading System: Excellent- One of the best existing examples with exceptional eye appeal. May have very minor flaws that do not affect the overall look of the photo. Very Fine- Above-average condition, with very few defects detracting from the photo. Fine- Average condition, with signs of use such as tears, creases, small stains and dents that don't compromise the integrity of the photo. A little history for you: A family member, who had a part-time hauling business, acquired these photos in the 60's from the widow of a Warner Brothers employee. He worked there in the 40' and 50's. They have remained in our family since they were acquired. The photos we have are circa 1946-1950 and include cast, production personnel, and scenes. The Warner Bros. photographers at this time were: W. Kibb, Welbourne, Eugene Robert Richee, Floyd McCarty, Bert Six and Frank Bjerring. Some are stamped with the photographer's name and some are not. If it has a stamp, it will be noted. Also, some have a very small watermark at the bottom corner that reads "COPR Vitagraph, Inc.". So insignificant, it is barely noticeable. The photographs have what appears to be light print processing lines across the front, typical of this era. These lines are only noticeable when the photo is at an angle. It does not detract from the visual aspect of the photographs. The majority of the photos are ideal for framing. The 8x10 black and white photographs are unique, very few Warner Bros. duplicates in our collection. All from Warner Bros. All prints are genuine and not present day copies.
