Bull Dog Brand, (Double Dog), Trapper, 4th/5th Gen, 2000, MOP Handle, NWOB

Description: Trying to identify Bull Dog Brand knifes is very difficult when you don't have their original box. So this knife has been a research project for me. I'll supply the things I've learned or suspect this is. Please review all pictures to make your own conclusions. This is a Handmade, Hammer Forged Knife from Solingen Germany. This knife is the standing dog tang stamp, not the fighting or the double dog. It says on the bottom of the blade it was created in 2000. They started using the double dog tang stamp in mid 2000 which marked the 5th generation. It's possible this knife with the standing dog was just before that or possibly the end of the 4th generation. My research didn't give me clear results of timelines for that year. It has two blades. One on either end. One blade is long the other short. I think it's some kind of Doctor's knife, though I couldn't find this exact style anywhere. Part of the handle has Mother of Pearl the other part I'm not sure. Could be some kind of wood grain. Please review all the pictures to decide for yourself. This is actually a new knife that has never been used, but without it's box. That's because my husband kept many of his most treasured knifes in a cloth display case so he could take them out and admire them. My husband actually has two of these knifes. I've listed them separately because this one is in better condition than the other one and because the etching of the standing bull dog is in gold lettering on this one. This knife does show some minor tarnishing and wear but considering how old it is it's actually in really good condition. I tried to capture any problem areas in my pictures, so please review them. (I'm including a picture of the display case this knife's been kept in so you'll understand what I'm saying. The knifes in the case are of course not part of this listing, just a FYI type thing.)
