Buick Grand National Vacuum Brake Powermaster Conversion kit

Description: This kit is the same exact stuff I put on my personal GN. For those that followed my ''How-To'' article on tossing the PowerMaster and changing over the a vac setup, this is the EXACT stuff needed to copy that conversion. It comes with a brand new dual 9" brake booster. It takes up less room than the 12" UFO looking booster and works better. The master cylinder is an aluminum unit, so no rust or internal scale like you'd fine on a on crusty cast iron part (plus a slight weight savings). The rest of the parts are what set my kit aside from everybody else's. I didn't want a plastic Tee standing between me and a wreck so I sourced a solid metal Tee so I knew it would be made strong and air tight. It also comes with plenty of 3/8" hose to run from the booster to the PCV line to tee into the vacuum source. I send out SAE39R7 fuel line for there. It's rated for pressure, and since it's fuel line it's fine being exposed to intake vapors. Zip ties are also included for all connections. Can't be having them blow off under boost. That's never fun! Also: if you would rather drill and tap the plenum or an alum vacuum block I can send a barbed hose fitting instead of the tee. Just mention that upon purchase. It's no problem to customize an order a little. For the pedal, I do things a little differently. With my setup, returning to stock for a show or resale is EASY. My kit can use the stock Buick powermaster break pedal instead of having to put a chebby part under your left hoof :) Included is a meaty forged pin that goes into the stock pedal. It comes with a SS washer and a large R-clip (I HATE that puny stock clip for the Powermaster!) Once all those parts are locked down the only thing left to do is hook up the brake lines and bleed the brakes. This kit comes with EVERYTHING you need except brake fluid! I also have some DOT steel braided brake lines in another auction if you'd like to finish the upgrade while the system is open and needs bleeding.
