Description: Hand Colored Italia Green Transferware Neoclassical Wash Basin C. 1860 - 1880s Rare ironstone wash basin with Neoclassical scrollwork, urn and floral pattern in green transfer. With hand colored highlights in orange, pink, and green. With an orange luster along the spout and handle. Marked on the bottom with the pattern name Italia and the pattern number 275. I have not been able to identify the manufacturer. Circa 1860s to 1880s. Has overall crazing typical of ironstone, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 3/8 inches wide x 3 1/4 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. HR
