Description: We just ust unpacked the last eighty pipes from my extensive collection Of 1980-1990 Brigham Made in Italy Bent Bulldog sitter. Bowl is finished in a 360° Straight Grain natural briar finish and perfect polished walnut stain. Made in Italy in the early 1980s when they were still using brass pin markers This Brigham bent bulldog is a great looking pipe now that it has been restored. My description follows: “The brown stains really highlight the straight grain on the pipe. Once it was polished the finish is stunning. After I completely deoxidized and and polished the stem, I put the stem back on the bowl and carefully buffed the pipe with fine and extra fine compound on the buffing wheel. I gave the bowl and the stem multiple coats of wax. I hand buffed the pipe with a microfiber cloth to deepen the shine.” The finished Brigham Made in Italy straight grain bent bulldog fits nicely in the hand and feels great. Give the finished pipe a look in the photos below. It is restored to perfection. The dimensions of the pipe are: Length: 6 inches, Height: 1 ¾ inches Outside diameter of the bowl: 1 ½ inches, Chamber diameter: 7/8 of an inch. The weight of the pipe is 1.58 ounces. This Straight Grain Bulldog Pipe is in Great pre-smoked restored condition. The Vulcanite stem is black, has no tooth chatter ad bears the brass 3-pin inlay. The patented composite Distillator / Stinger is fully intact and was designed to be used in conjunction with Brigham's patented hardwood maple inserts. (It could be used with a slightly modified Balsa wood filter.) One new maple filter is included and others are easily available. Roy Brigham, after serving under an Austrian pipesmith, started his own pipe repair shop in Toronto, in 1906. By 1918 the business had grown to include five other craftsmen and had developed a reputation across Canada for high quality workmanship.
