Description: This is a vintage embroidered bridge score pad & cover. It was purchased in Hong Kong in the late 1960s. Cover of score pad is black silk satin, machine embroidered with colorful silken thread in an Asian-inspired floral pattern. In good vintage condition. Inside, the left hand side contains a card, permanently affixed, with contract bridge rules including how to count points, honors premiums, slam premiums, etc. These were international rules and conventions as of the late sixties. On the right side is a slot for inserting a score pad. Approximately 15 score pad sheets are included with this listing. In the center is an elastic strip to hold a pen or pencil. Overall, this item is in fairly good vintage condition. The left side (with card containing the rules and conventions of contract bridge) has some doodling and small numeric notations made by a long-ago player. The acetate / silk fabric cover is in good vintage condition, but does show some slight rubbing consistent with its age. A fun, nostalgic gift for the serious bridge player, or one who loves bridge and all things Asian.
