Description: What you have here is Rolling Dub Trio's first ever loafer, and they are supreme. I waited over a year for these; just received them at the end of September. Unfortunately, I need a 1/2 smaller as my heel slips a little too much. With that, they're in perfect condition (and come with their original box and tag). They were only made available here in the states via Standard & Strange. Moreover, S&S only offered these via a very limited pre-order and they did not take any floor stock, thus, making them that much more exclusive and desirable. Per the brand, translated: IN'EI is a new series introduced by Rolling Dub Trio. We made this Coin loafer with the Munson last to which we added some improvements. The theme of the ‘H’ series was inspired by the novelist Junichiro Tanizaki's essay, "In-ei Raisan / In Praise of Shadows" (1933), a work of modern Japanese literature. The beauty that lies within the deep black is expressed as a simple, functional beauty, with a minimalist design. The shoes use an improved Munson last, and are simple yet characteristic of RDT, with outstanding comfort and walkability. The leather used is Dutch calfskin ( known as kip in Japan ) that has been finished in Japan as box calfskin. The translucent black color draws you in, with a finely textured surface.
