They attach to the 1.5" crash frame and keep the window and floor clear of cords etc. Also featured in the photos are a simple flat base mount which can be either screwed or velcro'd into any position in other aircraft. Customers have previously mounted them on the door trim of a Cessna 182 and on the rear wall of an Airbus H135/EC135. They're strong and won't break.
