The players are not listed anywhere in the insert, but an educated guess arrived at from years of living with this CD would figure the line-up as consisting of Yamatsuka Eye, Yoshimi P-We, Seiichi Yamamoto, ATR and Hira, with John Zorn adding crucial bits of saxophone blast here and there. Wow2 is Boredoms at their heaviest, unleashing gritty chunks of dirty guitar, twitching and thrashing like worms on a hot plate, stopping and starting on a dime, plunging headlong into rumbling dub fuckery… all topped by Eye’s unmistakable brand of raped-by-monkeys vocalese. Hey, it’s quintessential Borecore, as crazed and unhinged as you want it to be. Lovers of aural extremism should stop their bucks right here for a swig of the real elixir. Wow2 has never been issued in the States, and is ages out of print even as an import. The disc shows moderate wear, but plays flawlessly, and the colorful obi is intact and included.
