Book is beautifully illustrated in black and white by unique artist mahlon blaine. 9 1/4" x 6". such an interesting collectible book ! this book was copyright and published in 1950, but the story was actually written by Dumas 100 years ago . and since has been translated from French to english for serial stories and has appeared in "Weird Tales" in 1932. this version is sparingly edited by L. Sprague de Camp, who wrote the introduction as well. this illustration is from the title page. there are some mild creases on book spine bottom and on a few pages. pages are clean. only ageing discoloration is on the inside back cover. no names or marks or library stamps.frontispiece has hairline crease where glue is exposed, but binding is intact and strong. Dumas is known for the count of Monte cristo, the musketeers, and a wolf man as well.
