Description: Bodley Hand Painted Large Pink Roses & Raised Gold 9 Inch Plate Circa 1890s A Very pretty bone china plate. Decorated with large hand painted dark pink roses and raised gold leaves and thorns over an ivory background. Gold gilding along the edge. Has an impressed Bodley mark on the reverse. Also marked Trade Mark EJBD Burslem inside a retailer's mark for Gilman Collamore & Co Union Square New York. This mark was used by Edwin James Drew Bodley between 1875 and 1890; however, Gilman Collamore was not at Union Square until 1890. Also has the pattern number 5 6820. Has some wear to the gilding and usage wear consistent with age, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. AU
