He founded Blakeway Worldwide Panoramas in 1989 while living in California, later moving the company to Minnesota. A consummate road warrior, James travels in pursuit of photographs as many as 200 days out of the year. When he’s not traveling or working at the Blakeway offices, Jim lends his time to a group he founded with the aim of cleaning polluted waters in Minnesota lakes. Christopher Gjevre was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After studying photography and working in the photography industry for more than 10 years, he joined forces with James Blakeway in 1991. Christopher has traveled the far reaches of the globe hunting photographs of the world’s most popular cities and sites. In addition to photography, Christopher is an avid scuba diver and has put much of his passion into building a North woods getaway for his family in Northern Wisconsin.
