Very nice Bing & Grondahl Porcelain Figurine. Designed by Axel Locher this is titled 'Poultry Girl'. It features a young woman with a basket of feed for the chickens. There is a rooster and three hens gathered around her feet. The base has the Bing & Grondahl mark that dates it from 1959 to 1960. ABOUT THE ARTIST In 1897 Axel Locher (1879-1941) was hired at Bing & Grondahl. He is especially known for his agricultural figurines, of which he has created many. These figurines are depicting country life in such an authentical way that they became very popular and can now still be seen in many homes. This measures 9 1/8" High x 3 1/2" Wide at the base. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Figurine. (The pictures are of the exact pieces you will receive). Photography Props & photo stands are not included.
