Description: This is a custom painted, restored Bike Friday tikit, one of the later models after all the frame reinforcement / safety recalls had been done. This is the improved design run which has the seat mast (Bike Friday called it the "Aardvark") with the continuous handle that is reinforced against cracking and has the steering mast that is post recall. It is the Model T / T-knob / twiddly knob variety, called 'Impulse fold' by Bike Friday. Not the hyperfold, which though interesting, was failure prone. This frame has the modular rear dropouts which can be changed to accommodate single speed, fixed gear or internal gear hub systems. Lots of options! Frame size is XL as Bike Friday calls it, with an effective top tube length of 60cm. I'm 5'6" with a 30" inseam and I rode the bike happily with a shorter stem. Even as a shorter person, I like the longer frames as they give a longer wheelbase. Makes for a more comfortable ride. Paint (tricolor cream/British Racing Green/gloss black) was done by Jack Trumbull at Franklin Frames in Newport OH. This is Dupont Imron, not powdercoat.
