Description: Here's a big LOT of 27 Genuine "B+W" brand Color Correction and Special Effects Filters from the film camera days. (and hey ebay --- stop changing the name to B&W... it's B+W!!!) I think they are from the 1970's to 1980's. B+W is a highly respected maker of Optical Glass filters in Germany---- their quality is at the top end in the filter biz. There are 16 Colored Filters (the super dark one is a very, very Dark Red almost like a Neutral Density), 6 are Special Effects filters due to Etched or special cut glass, and 5 are Close-up filters for varying degrees of magnification. These filters are all 55mm size, but there are two step up/down rings--- 55 to 52mm (good for Nikon lenses and Others) and 55 to 49mm (good for Pentax lenses and Others) so they can be used on wide variety of lenses from different makers. Most if them are in Excellent Condition--- clean and clear glass with barely any signs of wear at all. But 3 or 4 have some light smudgy blemishes or very faint degradation--- but they should still work well enough. Otherwise the good ones are just about perfect. (NOTE: The splotchy-ness seen in the photos is some staining of the velvet material of the tray compartments and Not the aforementioned blemishing. Those few filters that are not perfectly clear---- those blemishes aren't really visible in these photos. ) It's a helluva deal (less than $7.50 each) for filters that Each sell for $50+ New today.
