Description: Very large Satsuma vase depicting frogs warring with Preying Mantis, wasps, and dragonflies. Very very cool piece. It is drilled and unsigned, and has a poorly done repair as shown. There are minimal losses to the applied flowers and leaves. It looks like the style of later Makuzu Kozan when he was experimenting with glazes/colors. It stand 16 inches high and 10 inches at the widest point. Feel free to ask for more photos of this fantastic and ultra rare piece.
