She is the creator of HerStory, an interactive creative writing workshop designed specifically to help women living with HIV/AIDS share their stories through poetry and other forms of creative writing. Johnson holds a B.A. in Child and Family Studies from Columbia College, Columbia SC and a M.A. in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago.
