Description: ——————————————————————————Signed by and purchased directly from Bernard Corey. Board: 16x12inFrame: 22.25x18.25in This piece was purchased by my grandfather from Bernard Corey himself. He would often visit his studio, choose works and have Bernard sign them. As they waited for the varnish to dry, my grandfather would often bring Mr. Corey to lunch to discuss "the state of the world". Corey's awards included: The Allied Artists Society, The Salmagundi Club of New York City, The Guild of Boston Artists, The Hudson Valley NY Art Association, The North Shore Art Association, The Academic Artists Society, The American Artists Professional League, The American Watercolor Society, and the Rockport Art Association. This oil on board was just framed for the first time in 2024 in a custom fabric-liner and gold frame. The simplicity and modernism of the frame brings this piece into modern day luxury.
