Description: Bernard Chaudron signed, epoxy/enamel on bronze pendant and chain, 1960’s ca, Canadian. This pendant is cast bronze. I am not a jewelry expert at all but the pendant shines like gold or brass on the raised areas. The resin color is a burnt orange to red. The chain has a 12" drop. Pendant measures 1 7/8" x 1 1/4" The reverse side is textured and is hand engraved with signature, B.C. This pendant is in good condition with what appears to be the original chain. Its a lovely piece. BERNARD CHAUDRON HISTORY Bernard Chaudron was born in 1931, Lille, France. He began his professional life in the agricultural sector before discovering his calling. Initially set up his workshop in Montreal and later opening a studio in Val-David. He worked with gold, bronze, sterling silver & pewter using the lost wax process. Aside from creating some of the most spectacular works coming from Quebec at that time, he involved his wife Louise Chaudron, who was an enamelist, in the Arts & Crafts Association in Quebec. His works can be found in museums & private collections. Today the family business now nearly 60 years old specializes in pewter and led by son Antoine Chaudron.Thank you for considering my item.
