Director Todd Solondz battled censors in the US upon the release of his Storytelling feature film in 2002, which resulted in the film being shortened to about 90 minutes and much of the soundtrack supplied by Belle And Sebastian being deleted. The band, in the midst of a creative revival, released all of their contributed music on this Matador CD release [OLE 512-2] which includes musical interludes, otherwise unavailable pop gems including "Scooby Driver" and "Big John Shaft," as well as dialogue bits from the movie.
